A longtime financial professional in New York, Janina Casey appeared in several television commercials as a child, earning a CLIO award for her performance in a Tic Tac advert. In her leisure time today, Janina Casey enjoys playing golf.

In the game of golf, few things are more frustrating than slicing a shot into the rough and trying to play a useful shot from the thick grass. When hitting from the thick grass, you should always use more loft than you think you might need. Even if a long patch of fairway stretches out before you, hitting a 4 iron will almost inevitably result in your club catching on the tall grass. By using a club with a higher loft, you can cut through the tall grass and improve your chances of making clean contact with the ball.

Once you have selected an appropriate club, begin setting up for the shot with an open clubface. When the hosel strikes the tall grass first, it will slow down and allow the rest of the clubface to swing around through the ball. An open clubface ensures that this final swing of the clubface will launch your ball on its intended line.
