As a result, travelers become more capable of thinking creatively during their everyday lives.

2. Health boosts. Spending some time away from home improves individuals’ overall health. Women who vacation at least two times a year are significantly less likely to suffer a heart attack than those who rarely travel. This same benefit is seen among men. Further, traveling reduces stress levels, and this reduction lasts for several weeks after a trip is over.

3. A sense of purpose. By experiencing the world around them, travelers may discover a new purpose in life. This is due to the fact that traveling exposes them to new cultures, lifestyles, and people that all lead different lives. Seeing these differences can alter a person’s idea of how to live his or her own life and may uncover a new goal to pursue.
