The National Urban Technology Center, or Urban Tech, is a New York City based 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The organization administers educational programs to youth that foster social and emotional learning while building a 21st century technological skill set. Urban Tech’s primary method for delivering these programs is through its Youth Leadership Academy.

The Youth Leadership Academy (YLA), designed for youth in kindergarten through 12th grade, is a computer based, interactive learning management program. Through animated shorts, journal activities, and various games and activities, the YLA provides learning in modules that range from conflict resolution and healthy habits to STD awareness and self discovery. Students also have access to a comprehensive glossary and hot links library that provides additional web based resources.
